With  origin from Thebes, Eleni Nikolaou has lived and worked in Athens for the past 25 years.  She studied art restoration,  and attended painting and art history classes.  She initially dealt with the subject of her studies, then  she realized she had the need to express her creative self  through  painting.  Having an intense search for the form and content of art as a reflection of the new perception of the world, she is a contemporary artist who works on abstract paintings and metal sculptures.  The themes of her artistic expression refer to philosophical issues for the individual and the collective are, with emphasis on the provocative character of abstract as a means of independent interpretation of the image.  She has taken part in group exhibitions while some of her works can be found in selected galleries where she has her works for sale as well as on her personal instagram page.
